NAV Screen Replacement

So, I decided I would purchase a new display and this time try to deal with a company here in the US rather that dealing with other than AliExpress which is a Chineese equal to Amazon and I understand it, anyway.  So, I found German Audio Tech on Amazon and ordered the new display for $199. Mind you now, I had searched for a LQ065T9BR55U LCD display.  Well, as it turns out, I was shipped a LQ065T9BR51U LCD display and was assured that it was the same as the one I thought I ordered.  Well, such was not the case.  There is a small difference and it is enough to cause damage to the display driver board.  Trust me, I found out the hard way.

As I stated earlier the new display that I received was a LQ065T9BR51U  and NOT a LQ065T9BR55U.  And this is where my problems started.  As it turns out, there is a ribbon cable that connects the display to the driver board and on the new display I got, that there is a pin is a Ground connection.  On the other side of the ribbon cable is 5VDC and when you install the display, it blows a transistor on the driver board.  On the LQ065T9BR55U this pin is not connected to anything in the display and is not used.  This has been well documented in two forums and one gentlemen has come up with a fix.  And so far it has worked for the displays that he has fixed with this issue.
